Kelly Long – Full Biography
Kelly Long is the President of the Pleasant Valley School District (PVSD). She was elected by her community in the Presidential elections of 2012. She has a vested interest in our educational system and our families. Kelly Long has been working in Camarillo since 1994 where she started working at Royce Medical as an Mechanical Engineer. Her husband, 2 young daughters, and 2 dogs bought a home in Camarillo in 2008. They enjoy living in Ventura County utilizing the outdoors as much as possible from hiking, biking, and surfing to hanging out on the soccer fields and at the new Adolfo Camarillo High School Pool. Her husband, Stuart Long, is also a small business owner specializing in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design and volunteers on Fillmore’s Search and Rescue team and is in charge of Training. Kelly Long and her family moved to Camarillo to be with family and build a strong community around them.
As an experienced executive, Kelly Long, managed a $16 Million dollar department. She understands budgets, cost savings, and project management to name a few. She is effective and efficient in getting the job done.

- Experienced business woman who is a BS in Mechanical Engineer from CSULB and 6 patents.
- 12 years experience in the healthcare industry working for Royce Medical as a project manager and Ossur as director of sales and marketing.
- Project management consultant while also focusing on my family and my two daughter’s education
- Volunteer on the La Mariposa PTA Board, Las Colinas PTA, PVST Swim Team, & StemYes.Org
- President of PVSD, providing the best educational program in our community for grades K thru 8 in accordance the laws, policies, and the desires of the community
As a parent and community member, she has a vested interest in Ventura Counties families and communities. She is efficient in utilizing her knowledge to create effective policies. At her children’s school, she has improved programs including: Healthier Cafeteria Food, Hands-on Gardening Program, and Successful Fundraising for 21st Century Technology and Programs in classrooms. She is effective in searching out innovative and creative programs within our budgetary system despite lack of funding. She believes it is important to make strategic goals that include long-term planning and communication. As a citizen of Camarillo and Ventura County, she believe our responsibility is to build communities that our families can thrive.
As a member of the Board of Ventura County Supervisors she vows to invest the time to make our families and communities successful. With goals and teamwork, we can strive for the highest level of excellence!

I like the fact that you bring actual skills to this position and have a vision for our youth. Working with kids when they are at early age can help mitigate against them taking the wrong path later. Our poorer communities need more resources to do this.
