Likes Long for PVSD

Pete Peterson wrote a letter to the editor of Camarillo Acorn supporting Kelly Long for Pleaseant Valley School District School Board.  It was published 9/14/2012. Thank you, Pete Peterson, for your supportive words! It means a lot coming from an experienced person who has been on a school board for over 13 years.  The article is below.

Likes Long for PVSD 

In Camarillo, I cannot think of a more important election decision than voting in a new member to the Pleasant Valley School District school board.

If you have followed the meetings of the current board, either in person or on television, you understand that there is a need for some new leadership at this level. Kelly Long can invigorate this board with fresh enthusiasm and effective leadership in guiding PVSD in the coming years. She is a nurturing mom and active parent at her local school.

In the tough budget times ahead, Kelly will be able to use her professional business skills to keep PVSD running efficiently while striving to continue the excellent achievement of our students. Kelly understands the important roles of good nutrition and well-maintained facilities in providing the best learning environments possible at all schools. She is supportive of the many effective programs now in place and will work with teachers and administrators in implementing new or alternative programs as they are researched and approved.

Busy Week Campaigning

Amazing heat in Camarillo today! It was a busy day campaigning. It was great taking with people. Thank you for your support!

Did you see us at the Soccer Fields, Moe’s Cafe, Coastal Cleanup, Farmer’s Market, Target, and back to the Soccer Fields. I think the soccer fields are now 100F! We are melting…..
